Monster of the Day #1454

This is why buying one of the cheaper Real Doll knock-offs is a bad idea.

Okay, I tried an image search on this one and all I got was anti-Trump art. Anny hints on what film this was from, just to make sure I avoid it in the future?

  • Rock Baker

    Can you really show that?

  • kgb_san_diego

My image search worked… :-) Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toymaker. With Mickey Rooney!!!

  • bgbear_rnh

It is OK. Ken doll is not fully equipped.

  • Eric Hinkle

Thanks. I bet they never had scenes like that in Rooney’s Andy Hardy movies.

  • Ken_Begg

Apparently you didn’t see Andy Hardy’s Private Secretary at B-Fest a few years ago.

  • Eric Hinkle

Was that a porned-up knock off of the original series?

EDIT: Never mind, just Googled it and read about the film. I didn’t think they could have gotten away with a scene like that in a 1941 ‘family’ movie. Then again, I never thought the Andy Hardy movies were supposed to be bad enough for B-Fest in the first place.

  • Ken_Begg

It wasn’t. It’s the most mysterious damn choice ever. GalaxyJane and I shrugged when it appeared and figured, worse case, it would give us a breezy hour. Instead, it proved to be the longest film in the series, clocking in at about an hour and fifty minutes. (!!!!) It’s kind of a private joke between us now.

  • Eric Hinkle

An hour and fifty minutes? Yikes! For a B-film like the Andy hardy movies that sounds downright ponderous.

  • It’s officially the longest damned movie ever. And since it’s really just a series of vignettes it gives no clue when the hell it will finally give up and end. Also Andy is kind of a dick and only other people suffer the consequences of his dickery. Yeah, not a fan.

  • Eric Hinkle

Ouch. The series sounds less fun than I had believed.
