    AIIEEEEE, was Freakazoid a great show. Even greater now that I’m fifteen years older and can fully understand all the jabs that show took at everything.

    A favorite gag of mine had Freakazoid trying to learn telekinesis in the second season, because his mentor insisted the show would get cancelled if he didn’t develop new powers to keep the audience interested.

    Many years later, as an occasional viewer of Mutant X, I saw at the beginning of its second season that all it’s characters “spontaneously” develop upgraded powers.

    Mutant X got pwned by Freakazoid a decade before the fact.

    I screamed like that for weeks after first seeing this particular bit. Sadly, no one else got it, and eventually I got tired of explaining it.
