Monster of the Day #952

And so ends Mighty Samson’s Red Menace week.

  • Flangepart

What, no yellow? Oh well, Samson does lead a ‘stop or go’ existence.
Also…now could the wee beastie lift that ‘mace’ unless it was hollow? Is it a ‘nerf rat?’

  • bgbear_rnh

As a kid I was always fascinated by this idea of no yellow light in NYC. Like an alternate universe where people didn’t floor it when the light changes (HAH!).

I believe they have yellow now.

  • bgbear_rnh

This is the first cover that made me think that this guy may be related to Brock Samson.

  • Gamera977

Curious why The Prophet of Zo- um wait… THE PROPHET OF ZOMZU- that’s better, isn’t on the cover as opposed to generic art of the mace rat?

  • sandra

How does that creature even walk dragging such an oversized tail ?

  • Flangepart

    Likely get stuck in things.
(Passing through narrow space)..Yo, do-tee-do-tee-do…(Yank)- Aw, crapski! Again?

  • Eric Hinkle

Maybe the mace rat /is/ THE PROPHET OF ZOMZU?

  • Beckoning Chasm

Has anyone kept track of the street signs on these Samson covers? It seems to me we’ve seen “Broadway” before. I guess the artist had to use names that would be recognizable as New York streets, and a lot of those would be numbers.

I guess the glowing sphere on top of the pillar?/ building? is the ‘mysterious light’, in which case Samson should probably smash it pronto.
