35 years before starring in our recently featured film, Orochi the Eight Headed Dragon appeared in another Toho fantasy film, meaning that Eiji Tsuburaya presumably did the special effects.

    Wait, Orochi pops up in The Magic Serpent? Is it a brief appearance? I’ve never read about that before. (I haven’t seen this one, either.)

    I just found out about an Orochi movie from 2008 while trying to research this, incidentally; so there’s another movie I have to track down.

    The 8-Headed Ghidrah is supposed to be Orochi.

    Rats! Though I can’t be surprised, given that I checked “after” posting and learned that Magic Serpent was done by Toei and not Toho.

    Okay, so Orochi isn’t in The Magic Serpent. Okay, that explains a lot.

    So, is this the same movie as yesterday? If so, what is it? If not, what are they? We’ve got a movie or two with giant monsters that I don’t know, and I can’t have that.

    Opps, now I’m getting confused. No, Orochi is not in Magic Serpent.

    No, Monday through Wednesday were Orochi the Eight Headed Dragon.

    So that was also Orochi ? Then I’m back to wondering how I’ve managed to forget a monster from that. Also, I guess you skipped the other giant monster from that since it’s not very monstrous?

    No, just didn’t find stills of another monster, I fear.

    There was a giant bird the heroes rode on at one point, which is what I was referring to. (How I remember that but not that thing up there, I have no idea.) There’s also the robo-war god at the end. I could see not finding stills of the former, but I’m surprised there weren’t any of the latter since it shows up during the finale.
