Looks like a job for Aquaman!!!

Well, it is a fish monster, but it’s on land…. hummmmmm, now I’m all confused… to Aquaman or not to Aquaman???

When a hedgehog and a goldfish love each other very much……..

Fighting this guy calls for Richard Carlson.

  • Weirdly enough, I’ve seen this guy in action. My Brother was watching one of his movies when I visited and this was the one. I don’t know the title, but it had the ‘real’ world and the ‘ultra’ world crossing into each other. Nice to see all the ‘old’ guys in action again.

In the final reel, Eulabelle Moore saves the day.

Man you could do a whole year of Ultra-monsters. *HINT HINT*

I immediately recognized Gesura, but was confused by the image, as it’s definitely not from the original series. A quick check, and it turns out this is actually King Gesura, from a 2008 Ultra movie featuring then-new kid on the block Ultraman Mebius, as well as a few others. I didn’t know it’d ever been brought back (looks like it had another movie appearance a year later). Since I haven’t seen either I can’t comment, although I like the look here of the newer suit quite a bit.

Gesura was one of the monsters in the original series I felt sorry for. It wasn’t a highly destructive monster or an evil alien invader; it was just a hungry animal. It just wanted some chocolate, and who the hell doesn’t? I don’t even think it was Gesura’s fault it ended up in Japan. Well, too bad, Gesura; Ultraman’s here to fuck your shit up. The death wasn’t graphic visually, with its fin getting pulled off; but I recall them saying it was how Gesura breathed, like it was where the gills were or something, so really it suffocated to death, which is just horrible.

Jeez, Namor, enough with the fish monsters!

(Yep! Had to think all day to come up with that one and it’s lamer than Green Arrow at… just Green Arrow. Full stop.)

By your description, that movie was King Gesura’s first appearance, Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers.

I really need to catch up on these newer series; I’m not really familiar with any past “Ultraman Powered,” although I have seen a bit of “Tiga” and “Dyna” and various clips from YouTube of newer ones, like Mebius.
