Monster of the Day #607

OK, not a lot of cheesecake here, but you gotta like that action.

I remain mournful about the state of programming at the ‘Syfy’ network. Why not a program recreating hilarious stories from the pulp magazines? Or an ‘original movie’ feature four or five of these tales. Make ’em cheap by making look cheap on purpose, like the Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. Man, they never step outside the box there.

Wow, that woman looks incredibly bored. “Well, damn, I guess I’m going to miss that sale on pale blue clothing.”

  • Ken_Begg

    She’s British.

If you are a giant germ you could not do germy-like things.

  • Germs have eyes?

  • Ken_Begg

    Racist!

  • Gamera977

Well, they do look better than the giant germ from the Doctor Who episode where they wheeled it around on a small dolly.

  • Ericb

Doesn’t making germs giant reduce their effectiveness as germs? They’re too big to invade your body and cause an infection. Might as well just call them flying cycoptopuses..

  • Ericb

    *cycloptopuses*

  • Ken_Begg

Actually, I like the fact that you are chagrined they have eyes, but aren’t that they can fly.

  • Ken_Begg

    Ahem. Cycloptopi.

  • Gamera977

Last time I had a cold I could swear the ones in my sinuses where at least this size, maybe larger.

  • In the 60’s, there was a horror comic (Strange Tales?) which featured a giant germ story and the enlarged enemy (other than being green) took a striking resemblance to these creatures! Nothing new under the sun, indeed.

  • the things I pick out to be bothered by make no sense to me, either.

  • The enlarged germs in that story would radiate sickness like an isotope does radiation. Heat would destroy them, though, and purge the human body of their effects.
