Monster of the Day #606 (Updated)

Aiiee! Es muy mal!

UPDATE: Just to be clear, we will not countenance at Jabootu the sort of gross sexism found below in the message thread. On top of that, I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Mexican culture seems to like their women just as skinny as American culture does today.

On a completely unrelated note, here is a picture of Santo being menaced by some martians.

Seems like a nice day to be out at the beach climbing rocks in a micro bikini.

(got to love our neighbor’s to the south’s appreciation of the full figure gal)

Sometimes a phallic shaped spot on an octopus’s ” forehead” is just a phallic shaped spot on an octopus’s “forehead” and sometimes …

‘Um senorita, sorry to bother you but the water here is only about three feet deep – could you maybe get someone with a boat to tow me out to deeper water before I’m beached?’

  • Flangepart

Like him, I’m a sucker for those well rounded gals.

  • bgbear_rogerh

Martians seem to like their females. . .oh, sorry.

  • Ericb

I find it somewhat disturbing that Martian females seem to wear protective cod pieces while Mexican wrestlers do not.

Man, one of the biggest cinematic crimes of all time is that that Santo movie never got imported to the States! If subtitles are annoying when you’re trying to watch a special effects movie, I can’t imagine how irritating that must be when watching a cheesecake movie! And this film seems to be both!!!

  • Ken_Begg

This was wasn’t, but K. Gordon Murray brought at least a couple Santo movies in dubbed editions to the US. Samson vs. the Vampire Women is probably the most famous of these.I think Samson in the Wax Museum was another.

  • Elizabeth

Hey, at least she’s not one of those Escher Girls.
The real problem here is that, while I’m not a zoologist, I’m pretty sure that isn’t a scorpion.

  • I did some research once, years ago. I think out of the 90 or so Santo films, we got four of them. What a gyp!

  • Ken_Begg

Actually, it’s meant to be an escorpion, although if I remember correctly, that’s a scorpion you download over the Internet.

  • at least in the 1960s Mexican film women looked like real women.

  • sandra

The Martians are wearing more than Santo is. I’m pretty such I’ve seen listings for Santo movies on the Late Show.

  • I don’t know. At some point, doesn’t that become unfair? Gals come in all sizes and shapes. Some are gonna look like Gila Golan, others like Sally Fraser, others Catherine Schell, and so on. What I appreciate about women in the 60’s is that they were glamorous, even in everyday life, compared to what we see today. It all comes down to the individual girl herself. There are some who wear skinny really well.

The bikini girl looks like a mad scientist sewed Bo Dereks top half onto Kim Khardashian’s bottom half.
The octopus doesn’t look that menacing. He’s only using one tentacle and instead of grabbing her he looks like he’s just slapping her on her big butt. Or at worse trying to untie her bottom.
The true horror is the vampire girl in the upper right hand corner. White faced, black eyed fanged girls always give me the creeps.
Thanks for the Mexican Martian girls!
