Sorry about the late entry, it’s my birthday and I’m lounging around today. Mostly I’m working on another Bruno Mattei review. Such is my ‘life.’

Anyway, Thanksgiving approaches. Turkey, anyone?

    I first saw this film under magical circumstances. Having seen the pix in Famous Monsters back-issues, I really wanted to see it, needless to say. Back when Pop was playing with film as a hobby, one of the the features he ended up with for a time turned out to be THE FLYING SERPENT! Hot dog! We screened the film together, but I haven’t seen it since. I remember little more than seeing the opening text crawl.

    Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. A good, low-key day, which at my age is fine. Dinner was a double celebration, as Techmaster Paul had just gotten the day before a new job, just in the nick of time! So I was able to cadge my usual birthday steak from him and Holly.

    Also, got to Trader Joe’s this year before they sold out of their yearly Dark Chocolate Star cookies. They are insanely good, and you have like a two-day window to buy them before they sell out, literally. So I have a few extra boxes for B-Fest in January. It’s the small pleasures in life you learn to enjoy.

    Skrag, I’m currently working on Zombi 3, but hope to get another film in as well. Of course, I waited too long, and my schedule is busy before the end of the month, as I work this Saturday, etc. Certainly the one review will be up anyway.

    We have a moderately priced (compared to Morton’s, Ruth’s Chris, etc.) but very decent steakhouse by my place called Jameson’s; we also do a group dinner there the Thursday night before B-Fest. I had a quite tasty rib eye.

  • I celebrated my recent birthday with taco pizza! Mmmm Mmmm MMMMM!!!! There’s a place down the road a piece makes some great taco pizza, but the price-tag makes them something of a special dish around here.
