Waka! Waka! Beckoning Chasm This used to be on cable ALL the time. Tork Ok, ok, I get it! Walkies. Rock Baker My brother heard this was somekind of spoof, so neither of us have gone out of our way to find it. I love killer brains, though. Should I look for it? It’s called THE BRAIN, right? And it’s….. Canadian? Ken_Begg Yes. I don’t know that I’d call it a spoof. It does have a humorous side, like most movies, but it’s not an outright comedy or anything. At least as I remember it, anyway. Rock Baker Thanks, Ken. I’ll keep my eyes open for a copy. The Rev. I was thinking it was The Brain, but for some reason I had thought you’d done that already and was trying to figure out what it was. But, yeah, no mistaking it up close. I saw it a couple of times on TMC in high school. I agree with Ken that it’s not a spoof; I think it’s just such an odd premise that you’d assume it’d be done that way. I don’t recall much intentional humor, honestly; it’s pretty serious throughout, and even grim at times. I will say that the brain eating a woman prior to its transformation into the form above comes off silly-looking, but we do get a nicely done, if bloodless, axe decapitation. I haven’t seen it since, so I’d be curious to see how it held up. It wasn’t any kind of classic, but I recall liking it more than not.
