Monster of the Day #578

Deadly Bubbles II: Beelzebubbles. “What made her whites so red…WITH BLOOD?!!

  • Flangepart

“Honey, the washer blew up again.”

I always like how these women in older film always look like they are wearing more foundation garments in their nightgowns than when they are fully dressed.

Well, they generally needed a lot more foundation, if you know what I mean.

  • Mala Powers was a discovery of Ida Lupino, I believe. Critically aclaimed, I always found it interesting how she found herself cast in monster movies like this, THE COLOSSUS OF NEW YORK, and eventually one of the many stars witness to the end of the world in THE DOOMSDAY MACHINE (she was Bronski). Interestig career, to say the least.

UNKNOWN TERROR is a fairly obscure movie. I don’t know if there’s ever been an offical release on disk, but AC released a version recently that’s the best I’ve ever seen of it. It’s not full scope, but it’s partially letterboxed.
