    We have the old tape, too. I think I’d like watching the DVD better in this instance because there are some parts I’d really like to just skip past with just the click of a button. When it’s good, it’s really good, though.

  • Sure, that’s why I don’t watch it often, but I try to capture the theatrical experience whenever possible, and the audience didn’t have the option of skipping ahead. Plus, of all the Disney features, FANTASIA is most like an ‘event’ picture than anything else. I just have to wait until I’m in a real cultural mood….

    Yeah, that’s what I thought.  Before I ever saw the whole thing, I remember this part of the movie being shown in class during a unit on dinosaurs.  Man, did I love it.
