wow, so scary, only not for me. :) What animal is it?

  • Ericb

Looks like they were aiming for a Dimetrodon.  There is a  roughly 300 million years gap between him and the giant ground sloth so if this is from the same movie as yesterday’s beastie that is one weird island they live on.

Well clearly, this is just a lizard with a fin glued to its back

And badly in need of a dentist.  Must be a British dinosaur.

And one lazy lookin’ Mama-jamma, too.
‘And now, the further adventures of  Dingle, the sleepy dragon, on the Uncle Al show!’

hey, some kind dropped his toy dinosaur in the woods

  • Now I HAVE to find a copy of UNKNOWN ISLAND, because now my brother will want to see it! (He has a thing for Dimetrodons, doesn’t think enough movies have used them.)

A stock shot of this thing did appear in GIGANTIS THE FIRE MONSTER, I believe (although not having seen UNKNOWN ISLAND, I can’t be 100% positive -although I’m pretty sure a shot of the film’s carnosaurs turn up in GIGANTIS too). If it was the same beast, he was a bit more active than the still might indicate.

I assume your brother’s seen the original Journey to The Center of the Earth, the best dimetrodon movie ever.
