Monster of the Day #461

I guess we know what Sid Pink’s Quatermass and the Pit would have looked like.

I never noticed the two mouths before.  I’d think his sinister quotient would go up of his three eyes weren’t all pointing in different directions.

I’ve seen this movie a number of times and I have to admit that I, too, never noticed the double-mouth arrangement.

So, the phrase ‘He talks outta both sides of his mouth’ takes on new meaning here.
He can slurp two different milkshakes at the same time. neat.

“I spy with my third eye, a human being who’s about to die!”

Is this from the same movie as the last two MotD, or is this something else?

  • Ken_Begg

     Different movie, same producer.

Angry Red Planet had the best Pink monsters. The CineMagic process made imaginative designs cheaper to realise..

  • Beckoning Chasm

Yeah…too bad the Bat-Rat-Spider has already been used as MOTD.

  • I always thought they were his ears.

  • They say that’s Billy Curtis in that monster suit.

For years all I saw of this film was a photo of the above beastie. Boy, did that thing fire the imagination! It was probably the most alien-looking movie Martian of the pre-STAR WARS era, with the possible exception of the Martians from WAR OF THE WORLDS.

Damn! In her later years Dejah Thoris really let herself go….

  • Beckoning Chasm

If you cover up the two lower eyes, the upper two right-eyebrow folds make it look like a Zanti facing screen right.  I’d draw it and post a link, but you know how much this site likes links.

  • Ericb

The forum let’s you post links.

  • zombiewhacker

I included a link while posting to Ken’s “Butterfly” review and the site ended up eating my post, link and all.

  • Gamera977

Apparently you can post links in the forum but not to the blog posts like MotD and reviews.
