Monster of the Day #403

A searing tale of babes behind bars!

    Kanamit day care.

Wow, I was really expecting Little Godzilla from G vs. Spacegodzilla today.  I got thrown a curve there.

I have never seen any of these movies.  I probably should at least see the first one someday.

Somehow I was expecting this series to come up. Still after Sandy mentioned some movie I think he called ‘Devil Fetus’ I have been hoping the Devil Fetus might make a showing here.

All those baby Godzilla’s made me think what it would have been like if the monster from Alien (Monday’s MotD) had a career trajectory like Godzilla’s and eventually became a good guy.

  • David Fullam

    The original is awesome.

Gadzookie, I didn’t know my baby pictures were on the web.  That really brings back memories.

Well, I saw the first film, and found it to be quite good. The sequels however, have escaped me (although I didn’t go out of my way to find them either). I thought the first one worked as a stand-alone tale, so I never understood the motivation for the sequels.

  • David Fullam

The first sequel is kind of okay. The third film is really bad, despite some good ideas. Pretend the remake never happened.

  • Rock Baker

Easy enough. I’d forgotten that there was a remake!

In a truely just world, John Ryan would have received an Oscar nomination for his performance as the mutant baby’s father in IT’S ALIVE.  I guess nobody told him you are supposed to phone in your performance in a genre film.

  • David Fullam

Helz yes! Ryan was absolutely superb in the film. A damn good actor giving his best.
