    Quite a cast they assembled for this flick, eh? Always happy to see Howard Duff, Claude Akins, John Carradine, etc drop by! Goofy as MONSTER IN THE CLOSET is, I must admit it manages to offer one genuinely successful “BOO!” moment.

    This was pretty fun and surprisingly well-written. It’s one of those rare pieces that actually plays with the conventions and does parody the right way, i.e. not blatantly ramming it into your face the whole time.
