Monster of the Day #174

How I feel at the beginning of every work week, especially after a batch of vacation days.

  • Ericb

Al Davis and Jerry Jones discuss the NFL lockout.

  • David Fullam

    Love me some Blind Dead.

  • Rock Baker

Only one of these that I’ve seen is Horror of the Zombies. Wacky stuff. Even more so knowing that one of the films was toyed with to cash in on the Apes movies by saying the blind dead were actually survivors of an earlier civilization of intelligent apes! That’s so wild and gutsy, I almost respect it!

  • Gristle McThornbody

EricB, you were —> <— that close to making me spew some Diet Coke on my monitor. :)

  • John Campbell

Just could find anything worthy of when Ken and EricB said!

    Kudo’s gentleman!

  • sandra

I’ve never seen any of the Blind Dead movies, mores the pity.

  • Sandra — What’s interesting is the each film starts things back at zero. There’s no continuity; each film plays around with the central idea but treats it a bit differently.

  • I have seen the four Blind Dead movies multiple times and love them all unreservedly, but I don’t recall any reference to the planet of the apes.

  • The Rev.

Sandra: Same here. I recently saw a DVD for the one on the galleon, but didn’t want my first experience with them to be that one. I need to track down the first one, since that seems to be the best.
