Here’s a chance to buy Sandy Petersen’s favorite movie…

Well, OK, that may be stretching things just a little…but only a little.  Certainly the wacky Japanese spook story House (aka Hausu) is one of his one all favorites, sure to set off that famous Petersen cackle. As we learned when he showed it at T-Fest one year. And look, it’s being put on on DVD and Blu Ray by the Criterion people, nonetheless!

To which I can only respond: “BANANAS!

  • The Rev.

Great, another DVD I have to buy now. Thanks a lot, Ken and Criterion.

    BANANAS!!

  • It is a film without flaw.

  • BeckoningChasm

Flaw had other commitments that month.

  • I double-dog dare you to name one single second of HAUSU that’s not entertaining. Or even predictable. Even to teensy details such as when the bus pulls away, we see that the lovely landscape behind it was just a billboard.

It has what is pretty much a psychotic attention to detail. Plus I am in love with the cannibal aunt.

  • Lawyer Chris

Where were we? Which one was the fat one again?

  • Kirk

I have to admit, it’s a fun flick. I’ll have to pick up a copy and inflict it on my friends.

  • The Rev.

This is truly a movie to inflict on others with pride, without the worry of bodily harm that comes when you inflict, say, Nightmare City on them.

  • Thanks for the tips about credit repair on this amazing site. The things i would advice people would be to give up the actual mentality that they’ll buy today and shell out later. Being a society most people tend to try this for many factors. This includes getaways, furniture, and items we wish. However, you’ll want to separate the wants from all the needs. When you’re working to improve your credit score actually you need some trade-offs. For example you may shop online to save money or you can visit second hand retailers instead of pricey department stores to get clothing.
