Monster of the Day #16

Now here’s a monster with a lot of appeal.

  • Ericb

This one doesn’t even deserve its own number.

  • brandywine

An intelligent carrot? The mind boggles.

  • Well…’intelligent’ may be stretching it a bit.

  • Marsden

I propose the next monster be numbered “P”

  • BeckoningChasm

Good old Stanley Adams. Also, shouldn’t this one be #16?

  • Ericb

If “The thing From Another World” had been directed by Ed Wood …

  • You guys are so, like, trapped in your plastic boxes, man.

  • Not-So-Great Cthulhu

    The hell?

The writers of LiS were clearly on some very good drugs back in the day…

  • David Fullam

Give me the first season of Lost in Space anyday over what came later.

  • Ericb

Watching Irwin Allen’s 60s Sci-fi TV shows makes one truly appreciate Star Trek and Doctor Who.

  • BeckoningChasm

The first season of LiS was far better than what followed, at least in terms of lacking camp. But it contained a lot of crap, too, like that chimp with the ears (Debbie the Bloop) and Will’s statement that they must be somewhere between the asteroid belt and the Andromeda galaxy. Yeah, that narrows it down.

I think the latter, color seasons must have led directly to Sid and Marty Kroft. Plus more drugs and a felt factory.

That said, I really like Jonathan Harris.

  • We need those rabbits from ‘Night Of The Lepus’ to deal with him.

  • Not-So-Great Cthulhu

We need those rabbits from ‘Night Of The Lepus’ to deal with him.

That could make for the most awesome crossover ever.

  • Hanna, you magnificent bastard!

  • Rock Baker

I have to admit, I didn’t expect this one! Closest thing to this I’d a thought might pop in were the Vegimen from Invasion of the Star Creatures. And poor Stanley! I’ll bet he felt that stint as King Kaliwani the previous year was high art after this little adventure!

  • Thanks for all the positive feedback.

    Look at this on video.

  • Dammit!

    It doesn’t work!

Well, just go to You Tube and look up ‘Lost In Space’ and ‘Carrot’. You should get something.

This is a monster ? It looks like the wet dream of Mr Bunnyrabbit from CAPTAIN KANGAROO.
