With TV audiences shrinking like Grant Williams, ABC is in talks to bring back former NBC sitcom Scrubs–a show I’ve always liked but never a hit–back for a ninth season. To keep the budget managable, however, they are seeking to have “some or all of the original cast members coming back full or part-time.” I guess bringing in a new cast isn’t the worst idea, but again, it’s not like this show was ever a hit to start with.

Principle photography has started on the new & improved CGIriffic remake of Clash of the Titans.

Speaking of remakes, and I swear this is true, Universal is mulling a remake of Drop Dead Fred.

The CBS slasher teleplay Harper’s Island is movie to Saturday nights. Yeah, that’s a vote of confidence.

Sigh, I suppose making a remake of a fairly mediocre effort like Titans is a better idea than some of the recent misguided efforts to “reimagine” deservedly classic films, but CGI? The charm of Harryhausens stop-motion work is one of the few things that make the original film watchable for me.

Yeah, don’t even ask me about Peter Jackson’s Kong. And I LIKE Peter Jackson as a rule.

A remake of Drop Dead Fred? Really? This was needed?

I thought this was gonna be the last season for Scrubs. Weird.

    And Harper’s Island… I can’t say I’m surprised.
