Also hate that back plate up on his head. Just doesn’t look right.

The similar cartoon following the TriStar “Godzilla” movie was far better, but, you know, it was “Godzilla”, so I’m going to skip it. As just a giant monster cartoon, though, it was pretty good.

    To be fair, IF a giant reptile as seen in either series surfaced, you know the media would dub it Godzilla.

    In fact, I’m pretty sure a monster gator that was terrorizing Florida some years back was called “Godzilla” in all the papers.

    Okay, this cartoon was goofy, but to a kaiju-loving kid like myself it was awesome.

    I guess I was just a wee “too grown up” to watch this one even though I would watch regular Godzilla films.

  • I watched this series as an adult a few months back (all of it is on YouTube from Toho) and I found it vastly entertaining. Even Godzooky, whom I expected to hate on sight. It’s not a good series (the Tri Star one is far better from my limited experience with it) but I think it does the big guy far better than the Anime Movies.

    There was a very large wild boar which was dubbed “Hogzilla” a few years ago.
