Vampire hunters. They never go to the crypt at noon.

Am I the only one getting a “Kiss me, you fool!” vibe from that vampire?

Well, I can see that there are bars on the window, meaning this was probably a cell of some kind. This leads me to think everyone knew there was a vampire inside. Which makes me wonder why the hunter’s expression is so shocked. “What th–? There’s a vampire in here! The kind I was trained to kill! Now what?!”

And yeah, I’ve never understood the whole let’s go hunt the vampire at dusk idea. I’d start first thing in the morning after eating a hearty breakfast with lots of garlic bread.

Maybe this is a Polish vampire. They were active from midnight to noon, and slept in coffins so full of blood the vampire was floating in it.
