Monster of the Day #3314

So Sunday, no monsters. We had such a blast with the Tod Slaughter movie on Friday that we started with a few more of those, Crimes at the Dark House and Murder in the Red Barn. Just bottled fun. Then we watch the first 15 minutes of Treasure of the Four Crowns, which is the 3-Diest 3-D movie ever. However, Arthur was in town with his four daughters, and when it came out that his oldest, 12 year old Madeleine (she plays Doom with her grandad if you watch Sandy’s YouTube channel), had never seen a Marx Brothers movie. So we threw on Duck Soup, and watching her laugh and laugh throughout it warmed my soul. More kids need to watch this stuff.

We started Monday with another fun film, the ’27 silent Cat and the Canary. Few silent films move as well as this one does, and it remains the quintessential Old Dark House film.

  • It’s a great flick.

Divorce papers filed the next day.

Wow but that guy looks like a goon. Was he supposed to really look like that in the film, or was this a disguise he put on?

  • Killer Meteor

    It’s a disguise.

  • Eric Hinkle

    Thank gosh for that.
