The second movie we watched Friday was Exorcist II: The Heretic. It’s as goofy as a film as you’d expect from the guy who directed Zardoz. What were they thinking? About an hour in I realized it might actually be dumber than Return of the Ape Man. Burton is fully in his awful period, and his rote “I believe in FAITH! / I believe in SCIENCE!” debates with Louise Fletcher are as facile as can be. Still a fun watch, and it lasted nearly two hours and nobody was ever bored.

    Yes, the Blu Ray has both cuts of the film. We watched the longer one because we figured it would have more goofosity. I enjoyed informing my (comparatively) normie friends what a Nut O Fun is.

    Yeah, I just like saying grasshopper- it’s funnier to me than locust. He’s decked out in a crazy tribal costume.
