Monster of the Day #3296

Wow, this is next week already. November 3rd (a week from Thursday) is apparently Godzilla Day, and so Fathom Events for that night only will be showing the Millenium Godzilla movie Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. A Chance to see a Godzilla film in a theater! Should be playing in a theater at least sorta near you. (Me, I only have to go like four miles.) Can’t wait.

Seeing a G film in a theater is fun…but man, why’d they pick possibly my least favorite of the Millennium series? Which actually means it’s one of my least favorite G films period since I found the M series pretty underwhelming as a whole. I suppose it’ll depend on the cost. Or maybe if Alamo Drafthouse is showing it so I can at least get a tasty preztel and a beer or something.

  • There are only three good Millennium flicks and this ain’t one of them. Still thinking about it.

In other Godzilla news, Toho is releasing a short Godzilla movie on You Tube called Godzilla v. Gigan Rex on the same day. Now that I’m excited to see. The Big guy against multiple Gigans! Looks fun!

Guess I’m weird again, this one, ‘Tokyo SOS’, and ‘Giant Monsters All Out Attack’ are three of my favorite Big-G films. I dislike most of the Heisei films though.

May 23rd, World Turtle Day- now that’s something worth celebrating!!!

Watch it while you can, because I believe they removed the Hedorah mini-film from YouTube after a while.

  • That they did. That they did.
