    I think Paper Finz called the poster ‘Anguirus vs. Anguirus’…

    I was going though some of the old MotDs last week. And I got intrigued by the poster Ken had posted for ‘A Virgin Among the Living Dead’. It’s on YouTube so I watched it. And that’s enough stupid for a whole friggin’ month.

    The leading lady is just as pretty as the one on the poster. And she gets nekkid- a lot. But the movie still put me to sleep. At least seeing ‘A Jess Franco’ among the beginning credits gave me advance warning of what was to come.

    And speaking of the passing of Vangelis. I forgot to mention the loss of Fred Ward. Honestly I’m not kidding that this guy should have had a MUCH bigger Hollywood career than he did. Great in everything from ‘The Right Stuff’ to ‘Tremors’. I still haven’t seen ‘Remo Williams’- I really need to check that one out someday.

    He seems to have been one of those actors that’s always there without you realizing it. I enjoyed his work. RIP Mister Ward.

    You are wise in your generation. Although Tim Lucas argued that no one has the grounds to criticize any Jess Franco film until you’ve seen all his movies.

    That was the exact moment, and I’m not exaggerating, when I realized that Tim Lucas is insane.

    There’s a spiffy new Blu Ray out. I think it’s Kino Lorber so if you wait for one of their periodic sales you can probably snatch it up cheap. Worth the purchase in any case.
