I’m pretty sure I bought a collection of Universal Monster plushies many years ago and handed them out to my old library friends at our annual Halloween party. Sadly, there were none left over. On the other hand, right now I’m looking at the fantastic Blacula bobble head Galaxy Jane gave me. We miss you, William Marshall.

  • I have the whole collection of these and they come out each Halloween (of course I would). I grabbed the big Bride and Creature when CVS was still selling them and was bummed when they stopped before I got more, then was in a Dollar Tree one day some time later who’d gotten a huge shipment of the smaller ones, so I was able to snag the rest, even if in a different scale.

    I remain surprised at the amount of detail they put into them.

    There’s a lot of specific-seeming detail on this–the gold star, the cowl lined in red–is this supposed to be a specific vampire? Looks a bit like Bela.

    I doubt it. Occasionally Universal actually licenses Lugosi’s image from his family, but usually not.
