Man, these were neat. I mean, anyone who grew up on ’50s big bug movies loved these. Of course, now we have all these incredible garage kits and statues for every obscure flick you can think of, but back in the days these things were a real breath of fresh air.

    My only complaint, and it was a minor one to be sure, was that the cars included in the kits were contemporary ones. How much cooler would these dioramas have been if the cars were all 50’s models?

    I agree with that, but a mere quibble on the whole. (And it might be that htey already had those made for something else.)

  • I have a yard full of the real deal, maybe I should just start building them little dioramas with old Hot Wheels the kids have outgrown. I love mantises, some of my favorite bugs.
