Dude, I wish that worked, but no, you need to shovel the stuff.

Look, I live in Chicagoland. So yes, eventually we’re going to get snow. But if we didn’t get any for Christmas (gray Christmases suck), I don’t know why we need any for New Year’s. Of course, I’ll be inside all weekend anyway, watching anime and maybe even a movie or something, so I guess it’s not that bad.

    Yes, great film! Picked it up on Blu-Ray about a year ago. Love the poster though as I remember the expedition were all male, so I love sticking the woman in there to fill the mandatory man, woman, and monster quotentint.

    We actually had a white Christmas. Apparently snowed heavily on Christmas Eve; I had no idea as my windows just look out toward other apartment buildings so I keep the shades down. And it was mostly gone by mid-afternoon Saturday.

    We got about a centimeter. Enough to turn the grass white. A little surprising since we never get a white Christmas. I guess our Northern members will laugh now – you call a centimeter of snow a snow!?!

    When I got to Iowa we had unusually strong winds for a few days (30 – 40 mph, with regular gusts up to 50, and even 60), culminating on the 23rd with a blizzard. I don’t know how many inches we got due to it being blown around; I’m guessing a couple. Visibility was extremely low; temps around zero but felt 20 degrees colder due to the wind. So, Christmas was technically white, but it wasn’t pleasant getting it. Yesterday they got a couple more inches but the wind was very low and it was nice and puffy and white. Meanwhile, here in my part of Texas it’s been in the 60s since I got back Sunday, until it started raining last night; now it’s in the 40s. This concludes your weather report.
