Monster of the Day #3127

“And…jazz hands!”

First, the Cult Cinema Classics channel has added the obscure Condemned to Live (1935), from “Invincible Pictures” (oh, brother), a very early vampire cheapies. Good or bad, for us completists it’s nice to notch off another flick.

They also have added the 1977 TV movie Good Against Evil, a black magic pilot starring Richard Lynch (who was trolling for a series back then; see also Vampire). Both films are worth a look, but neither really lends themselves to Monster of the Day.

So let’s head over to the Horrorwitz channel, which has subtitled versions of some Mexican horror movies (some of which require you to turn on the closed captioning). I have a good amount of affection for the Mexican monster/wrestling superhero epic The Batwoman. If you haven’t seen it, or not seen it for a while, check it out. Heck, check out all three. That’s a good weekend right there.

Also it looks like MeTV has added “Kolchak” to its Saturday night lineup, if you want to stay up late.

  • Sleestack! Hope he doesn’t get Will or Holly!

One thing you can say about the majority of the Mexican superhero movies is that they, at least weren’t boring.
