A Japanese poster for Ghosthouse! Ha! It sure makes the film look a lot better than it is.

    Okay, that poster would have made me go see the movie!

    Still haven’t seen it. I think it’s on YouTube so there’s really no reason I shouldn’t- other than being awful that is.

    In her left hand? I couldn’t tell, I thought it was a Sony Walkman at first, then some sort of tape (too big for a cassette tape and too small for a VHS or Beta tape though). Maybe someone who’s seen it will know.

    Can’t recall anything like that. There was an axe. I also do not remember who is more popular in Denver, Kim Basinger or Kelly LeBrock.

    Wow, that is SO much better than the movie! I wonder if some young Japanese filmmaker went to that movie and came out angry, but inspired to make a movie that actually lived up to that poster!

    An audio tape recording and it’s recorder play into the plot, such as it is, although the little ghost girl never uses it, so why she’s holding it in the poster is anybody’s guess.

  • In fairness, pretty much any poster would be better than the movie was.
