Monster of the Day #2082

Wheee, another Monday. Those weekends sure fly by, and here in the midwest next weekend will be an hour shorter, so that that’s fun.

We’re a few weeks away from Quiet Place 2 coming out. The first movie is on Amazon Prime, so I’ll have to give that a look. The second film is tracking very bid so far, they’re currently predicting something like a $55 million opening.

One good sign is that they’ve avoided the elephantiasis trends for sequels. The first movie was 90 minutes (the perfect default movie running time) and the sequel runs 96 minutes. So good on that.

    I’ve never heard of this film before but, wow, I read in Wikipedia that it was filmed near where I grew up. I never knew that Pawling, NY had a sound stage! And some of the outside stuff was filmed in New Paltz, across the Hudson river from there.

    I never even heard of this movie before, maybe I’ll give it a look. I assume the monster above is from the first film?

    Yes, unless I messed up. I’ve avoided watching the trailers/commercials for the sequel for obvious reasons.
