1). I’d want a larger spear there if I’m going to attack the megalodon’s mouth.

2). I’d be less distracted by the green-haired lady in the Daisy Dukes…

I love the gazes in this one.

Devil Shark seems to be looking not at Our Heroes, but at some other threat in the distance. No doubt Godzilla. Thus we are looking more at a drowning situation more than a Jonah one. I mean, look at all the bubbles coming out of the humans’ mouths. They look like punctured balloons.

Meantime, Tragg is staring at his spear like he’s never seen one before. He will no doubt use it like his hammer. Which, given the evidence of the previous cover, means he’s in a decent place. Or at least would be if he was facing a smaller opponent. And he had any skills at observation at all.

Like Devil Shark, Red seems more concerned with what’s off panel than anything else, though not from the same direction. Our emerald haired vixen, on the other hand, seems to be admiring just how well her top fits. Actually, on reflection, Tragg might be doing the same thing rather than looking at his spear.

Can’t say I blame him. You seen one spear, or Devil Shark, really, and you’ve seen them all.

All that said, like with the previous covers this one does its job. I can see kids picking this one up for Devil Shark.

Why am I getting a “Tragg: Shark Dentist” vibe from this?

Giorgio: and where was the first hydrogen bomb exploded? Bikini Atoll. Is that just a coincidence?

That might actually explain SpongeBob Square Pants….. (Bikini Bottom, amirite?)
