Thanks to Eric Hinkle to suggesting the comic, which I’d never heard of. OK, that’s a fairly macho dude.

Meanwhile, people start arriving for B-Fest tomorrow, so things will get hectic around here soon. Weather thankfully looks fairly good, maybe a bit of snow, but nothing major forecast at this point.

    Maybe it’s my eyesight but I keep wanting to read ‘Tragic’ instead of ‘Tragg’.

    Guess it is kinda tragic that he lost his club and is trying to fight off the carnisaur with a stone tablet.

    Though a Biblical action film where Moses on Mount Sini beats Satan senseless with the copy of the Ten Commandments on a stone tablet would be kinda cool.

    Anyone else hear about Kirk Douglas’ death?

    I’m mostly seeing people go on and on about his ‘heroics’ in defying the Hollywood Blacklist. I prefer to remember him for his acting rather than his politics.

    The last of which is relevant to us here at MotD. Can’t find any pics of him fighting the giant squid, but there are quite a few of him serenading a seal…..

    Catch his westerns if you like westerns. For noir fans he is in one of the best, “Out of the Past” early in his career as the heavy.

    And Robert Conrad has joined Mister Douglas. I so loved seeing him do Jim West in Wild Wild West, especially when Doctor Loveless was the villain.

    On the 20000 leagues 2 DVD set they have the original squid scene which was set at sunset. While all the action is there, it falls really flat. *Excellent* choice to re-shoot it during the storm, though it must have cost a lot more.
