Monster from Green Hell is one of those films that is a real slog at 70 minutes, and this is, after all, the money shot, but damn, I love giant props like that.

    I remember liking the wasp scenes, but I also remember they were few in number.

    Funny you never see any shots of the stop motion props. That battle with the python is short, but it’s delightful!

    Those two guys in the picture being throttled by the giant bug look more like they’re dying of boredom.

    Apparently they filmed a bigger climax with the wasps, but the effects guy used so much dry ice (to represent the volcanic explosion) that the footage was unusable. This is why the ending of the movie looks so half-assed.
