This is a bit racy for the site, but damn, that’s a nice poster. And you can’t say it isn’t a perfect B-movie artifact. Continuing a side theme for his week, it’s presumably MUCH better than the movie, given that it’s directed by notorious hack Jess Franco.

    Maybe it’s a bit of foreshadowing. Yesterday’s poster wasn’t sheepish about blowing the ending, and with this one here being Italian….

    I’m not sure. Her face seems to say: “Oh my! Something unpleasant seems afoot. Maybe I should slightly quicken my pace!.” While the Skull seems to be saying “Why am I here? There must be better jobs at $2.50 an hour.”

    I see Quatermass 2 (Enemy from Space) and Quatermass and the Pit (Five Million Years to Earth) are getting BluRay releases and should be out very shortly. (No word yet on Creeping Unknown/Quatermass Experiment).

    *Sigh* One of these days I have to convince the family so spend some money on a blue-ray player. Of course, that’ll be right after I convince them to spend some money on necessary repairs and upkeep on the house.

  • To be fair, nothing could live up to that poster. What a beaut! I can’t imagine the amount of talent spent over the years creating gorgeous art to advertise movies that have all the artistic pretensions of a 3 year looks finger painting.
