Monster of the Day #1963

I guess I’m not surprised that Japan knows how to sell a giant monster film, but man, this does not reflect what I know about this movie. If this was an accurate poster, I would have been there first day buying my ticket.

    I wonder if the Japanese classified ‘The Rock’ as a kaiju… ;)

    Don’t feel bad. Not only am I a kaiju fanatic, but my friends and I pumped quite a few quarters into this game back in the day, and burned more hours playing it on home consoles. I still haven’t seen it.

    It was basically a giant monster movie where you were the monster. How could I not love it? Unsurprisingly, I was always Lizzie, my one friend was always Ralph because he loved the idea of a giant werewolf, and the other friend was then George by default but didn’t care who he played so it was cool.

    Yeah, it was one of the last arcade games I spent much money on. Never had a home version.

    Netflix doesn’t have it and Amazon only seems to have the ‘buy it’ option for ten bucks. Think I’ll just wait till I can find the actual DVD/Blu-Ray on sale sometime.
