Monster of the Day #1923

The second film was Dr Blood’s Coffin, a….well, let’s just say it’s not pulse-pounding fare. Sandy wanted to show it because it features one of the more inept villain protagonists you’ll find, and that’s true. In real like this guy would have been hauled off to jail in about five minutes. Luckily for him, everyone else in the village is equally dense. And his plan to prove he’s right to the film’s heroine is…flawed. Let’s just go with that. Also not helping is that the film stars the charisma-free Kieron Moore, who was basically the Jared Martin of the ’60s.

This shot represents like the last five minutes of the movie and all it’s monster content, so yeah, it’s one of those those.

Although, it’s basic premise of harvesting hearts from living donors is one of the more horrific concepts for a sedate British mad scientist movie that I’ve even seen.

Ack, now I want to see it!

Sorry folks, been on vacation and the wi-fi here is um… spotty at best…

Hey, pal, at least Kieron Moore kicked triffid butt. Did Jared Martin ever kick triffid butt? Don’t think so!

Jared Martin kicked Martian butt. All kidding aside, both actors possessed marvelous voices. Moore I think was better suited to playing less evil characters. He really shines in CRACK IN THE WORLD during the action scenes.
