The Similars was a recent Mexican horror film that Sandy came across. People stranded in a small town bus depot start having a horrifying thing happen to them. This is kind of interesting (for a while, anyway) until about we finally get the solution to the incident and it turns out this is just a retelling of a WELL known old tale that’s been told several times before. It also doesn’t have nearly enough going on to sustain its running time, which caused Chad R to have an amusing meltdown over it’s tendency to repeat things over and over and over and over again. For me the cliche ‘twist’ was the larger issue, but yeah, it would have worked much better as an hour long TV episode. The film isn’t in black and white, by the way, it just featured an extremely muted color palette.
