Monster of the Day #1902

If I’ve learned one thing from looking at Thai horror movie posters, it’s that Thailand audiences love crocodiles.

Yay, Friday! I will be taking two trips in the next two weeks, visiting family as of next Wednesday, then back home, then down to Texas the week after next for this spring’s T(ween) Fest. I hope to see a bunch of you there!

That…looks like something naughty is going on.

I know, right? I’m not sure how Thai mythology runs, but not out of the question…

Happy trails, sir, and safe travels!

I doubt that one crocodile is actually Zeus, thankfully. That wouldn’t be beyond him.

Poor gal, it is always just wham, bam, later alligator.

A reverse image search comes up with ‘Crocodile Evil’ from 1986. And I’ve found a movie under the description ‘Wu Tang Collection Crocodile Evil’ on YouTube. Not sure if it’s the same movie but from skipping though it looks utterly batguano insane. This version is all in Thai and I didn’t see a subtitle option but I don’t care, going to watch this over weekend.

Didn’t see anything for yesterday’s poster with a short search, going to spend some more time on it after I get off work.

Wednesday’s ‘Crocodile’ does come up a few times on YouTube. Hopefully at least one is subtitled.

BTW now Ken has got me on a Thai movie kick. Watched ‘The Unseeable’ last night. Not great but still solid ghost story- I’d give it 3 stars out of 5.

As for the two guys in red headbands…um, some kind of fraternity initiation?

Plastic Straw challenge? one of those dumb internet things I assume

  • The Rev.

    …well, I’m sold.

Speaking of weird stories, Larry Cohen has passed away.
