Monster of the Day #1855

Uhmm…a comedy?

Wow! The artwork in that poster is magnificent!!! I’d be happy to hang it on my wall if I had a copy!

BTW: I watched ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ last night. Most of it was good but it was a blast when Kurt Russell went over the top! I loved the musical scenes, I didn’t know Russell could sing! The only part I really didn’t like was the CGI elves, sorry I just like my elves as children or ‘little people’. Thanks GJ for the tip!!!

Going way back Kurt played Elvis in a TV movie directed by John Carpenter and he did the singing himself I believe.

Chronicles was a lot of fun. Funny, thatduring the Macy’s parade they had these weird balloons of cat-like creatures and wife and I both said “what the heck are those supposed to be?”. That night when we watched “The Christmas Chronicles” when got the answer. Eeek.

Bat boobs. Now that image is stuck in my head. Thanks Ken ;-)

    Yeah, that’s pretty weird, right?

  • Dmitri Kozlowsky

“We will build a wall to keep Mexican vampires out. We will build that wall and Mexico will pay for it”

  • That one really did tickle us. And I agree that the bits with the “elves” were the least engaging overall. That is a movie that’s better when it isn’t trying to be traditional Christmas fare along the way. I was impressed by that quality of CGI being employed for a Netflix original though.

But yeah, the very best part is absolutely when it briefly turns into a lost episode from “The Blues Brothers”.

  • Technically those are bat moobs, just saying. He’s either smoking up a bit too much MJ, or drinking too much soy milk (seriously, I have totally seen gynecomastia from both in my practice).

El murciélago needs “The Bro” a.k.a. a Manssiere.

  • Rodford Smith

Forget the bat boobs. That vampire looks like Warner Oland. And one of the heads on the left looks like Peter Lorre with a full head of hair!

    When was that movie made?
