Monster of the Day #1808

Man, these painted posters are pretty.

Indeed, that’s gorgeous. I think I would have chosen a different font for the “cauchemar” bit, though.

The French have a different word for everything.

  • Wonderful poster. Probably one of the best the movie has. Despite spoiling the ending.

God I love this movie. Excuse me while I go dig up my DVD.

“Peter, what are you doing in your latest film?”
“Our latest old boy, and I’m driving a stake through your heart again.”
“Do wish they’d find some other way. Getting predictable, really.”
“Ah well, it’s a decent living.”
“Have a steak after the wrap, with the wives?”
“Lovely Idea Christopher. I’ll spring for the wine…and I do know you drink it.”
    “So long as it’s…red.”
    (mirthful laughter follows.)

I believe this conversation really happened, and it makes me happy.

Not sure if I’ve already posted this, if so my apologies. But Roger Moore talked about having worked with Lee in theater when they were both starting out as actors and they became good friends. Moore kept ribbing Lee with a constant stream of Dracula jokes over the years. Seems it came to a head on the set of ‘The Man With the Golden Gun’ when Lee is walking toward the cave on his island hideout with Moore behind him. A huge flock of bats erupted out of the cave and Lee turned to Moore with an expression of ‘don’t even go there!!!’
