Lots of skeletons on the covers of this series, which obviously I have no problem with. Especially when they look like this.

I would think having a searchlight point out your route up the wall would tend to reduce the “stealth” aspect of your mission.

Reminds me of the story where a WW2 Italian soldier flees into the Roman catacombs to escape the Germans (who want to shoot him and his pals for attempting surrender). He gets saved by the walking skeletons of dead Romans who bejabber the Huns while shouting things like “Even in death, we Romans stick together!”

They seem to have had a lot of walking skeletons in their stories. Part of what made it so great.
