Monster of the Day #1731

I don’t buy many DVDs these days (I literally don’t have room for them), but when Mondo Macabro releases an ’80s Indonesian gonzo action fantasy film? C’mon. It unsurprisingly played well, and I’m sure I sold a few copies among the other attendees.

Among the pleasures on hand was a witch who could survive being cut in half. Ah, good times.

Amazing how silly stuff like this plays better and is more entertaining than half a dozen billion dollar Hollywood not-so-spectaculars.

Not just Hollywood. Sandy played me The Great Wall while I was there, and it wasn’t awful, but the amount of effort expended for such a mediocre result is always depressing.

    That’s a shame.
