I watched a few Japanese commercial compilations on YouTube. It seems Japanese commercials are often a bit weirder than American commercials, and more likely to feature monsters.

This fellow was designed and animated by the Shin Godzilla folks.

    I was thinking maybe their version of Raid bug spray? But on second glace it’s in a bay and looks like a crustacean so maybe it’s more like Red Lobster?

    Being Japan it could be for underarm deodorant, it does not have to make sense.

    Well, it does appear to have eight legs, so technically doesn’t that make it a giant spider?

    Its mouth parts look more crustacean than chelicerate and it looks like it has gills on its “chest.”
