Monster of the Day #1646

I used the classic monsters, so I don’t know if I’ll get another week out of this, but I had a pic or two left over. So why not.

Spider-Woman seems to have contained a fair amount of monster-ish content in it’s 16 episodes. On the other hand, those who made cartoons back then knew kids loved monsters. Hell, the best remembered Jonny Quest cartoons are the ones with the Mummy and the Pterodactyl and the Robot Eye.

I could probably get a month out of Thundarr.

Spider-Woman and the Fly. Get it?

Well, at least the Fly was a legit Marvel villain (for Spider-Man, of course).

    Thanks for posting!

Don’t forget the Jonny Quest episode with the invisible thing. (Featured as a MOTD a while back.) That thing scared the hell out of me as a kid.

See, it would be better if the Fly was robbing beauty parlors instead of hanging out at the railway yards like a hobo. Because when she sets a trap for him, she…I don’t have to spell it out, do I?

Brak? No lady , you got me confused with someone else.

  • Man, they simply don’t make ’em like Jonny Quest any more. Still amazes me that’s Hanna-Barbera

‘Honest ma’am, I’m not making moonshine with these bags of sugar, I just have a serious sweet-tooth…’

Oh, I always get you villains mixed, I meant Zorak. Maybe you should wear name tags.

Lady, I am a fly. Buy a field guide or something.

  • bgbear_rnh

She calls over her husband to come and kill it?

  • Eric Hinkle

Does he have a beak like a bird? Seems like an odd choice of mouth-parts for a giant fly.
