Monster of the Day #1615

Hey, it worked in Die Monster Die!*

[Note: It didn’t work in Die Monster Die!]

    An undead Buddhist monk!?!

  • Beckoning Chasm

Donald Pleasance in the unreleased “Pumaman” sequel.

Wait, is somebody here dissing Die Monster Die? I liked Die Monster Die!

    (lowers voice, looking away)

    Sort of.

  • Beckoning Chasm

I kind of liked it too. There’s some creepy atmosphere, the shed creatures are creepy and adorable, and some bits work quite well. It’s just Boris’ Silver Surfer audition that really doesn’t work.

  • It is, without a doubt, the best H. P. Lovecraft adaptation starring Nick Adams. No one can take that away from it.

Oh man, these guys always used to be at the airport. Just keep walking.

Wait, here comes Rex Kramer! Oooh, nice punch!

  • Eric Hinkle

Is this from a horror movie from India?

Heck, ARE there any horror movies from India?

  • There are Indian Horror flicks, but this isn’t one of them. This is The Ghoul,/b>, a 1975 Peter Cushing flick.

I gotta tell you, this MotD has been bothering me ever since I first saw it. I knew I recognized it, but I couldn’t place it. The problem was that I hadn’t actually seen the movie. there’s a single frame from the film featuring our ghoulish friend here from the movie that gets used all the time, one where he’s threatening a girl with a bizarre dagger. The angle’s different, but the overall outfit and look is the same.
