Wow, hard to see a bunch of Millennials attacking this guy with sticks. Indeed, they’d still be shooting selfies at this point. Apparent mad scientist “Vandoom” ran into all sorts of copyright issues too.

    Sticks might be more effective. Looks like the guy with the rifle adheres to ‘Ken’s Rule of Guns’ and is trying to close to about three feet from the monster before opening fire.

    I seem to remember that this was one of the rare good monsters. When the Martians invaded halfway through the story he saved those ungrateful Transylvanian peasants and beat them back.

    I also like how they showed the peasants turning on Vandoom and burning his lab down about two pages into the story. With one of them commenting, ‘Every time mad scientists come here, their monster attacks us. This time we’re getting him first.”

    I can only see one guy with a stick ( which might be a rifle) plus several with rifles and pistols and one with a torch. I guess we must be in Transylvania.
