Monster of the Day #1526

Now, back to before we were so rudely interrupted. Here’s some bonus material as a make-up.

Ah the French, with an expressionistic poster for a flick like Godzilla Raids Again. And note that they weren’t so cheap they didn’t pay to use the Godzilla name, unlike Warners. Gigantis my ass.

The third poster is Italian, I think, and looks familiar. I might have used it before. I like the guy’s scarf, though, very dashing.

  • Gamera977

Wow, I was thinking Cubist Gojira on the first one.

    Cool finds!

  • bgbear_rnh

I like the idea of Speed Racer being there to lend a hand during a Kaiju attack.

  • Flangepart

    >Gigantis my ass.< Why are you aware of my posterior's nickname?

  • Flangepart

    Godzilla Vs. Chim Chim!

  • bgbear_rnh

Unknown to Godzilla, Monster X is Godzilla’s older brother who ran away many years ago

  • Wade Harrell

The people in the second poster only seem moderately anxious, like like their flight was cancelled and they need to get to the kiosk quick to get to another flight.

  • Ken_Begg

Well, they live in Japan, so….

  • Wade Harrell

True, for them I guess it’s like “What? Monster attack? Geeze, that’s the third one this week…”

  • Poor, poor Godzilla. He never stood a chance.

  • Eric Hinkle

A bit of news for those of you who have access to Comet TV — They’ll be showing the Toho flick GORATH on March 28th, 10 Pm EST/PST, 9 PM CST, 11 PM MST. I seem to recall that GORATH is one of the more rarely-shown Toho films, right?

  • Ken_Begg

Definitely true. That Walrus was the last Toho monster I caught up with by quite a bit.
