Monster of the Day #1517

Despite being called (here, at least) Dracula vs Frankenstein, the film’s monster battle involved neither of them. It was Paul Naschy’s Werewolf vs the film’s Mummy, probably because that was a rare monster the Werewolf hadn’t fought yet. I know he fought a Yeti at one point. Needless to say, the Mummy gets creamed by the invincible Werewolf.

The name Frankenstein was apparently a huge draw back in the day, at least by drive-in standards. Thus the intro film for Naschy’s Werewolf, which included a vampire that easily could have been dubbed Dracula, was called here Frankenstein’s Bloody Terror. Frankenstein nor his creation had nothing to do with anything.
