Monster of the Day #1516

We’ve featured Waldemar Daninsky before, but none of the films seem to be in continuity with each other, so I guess he’s sort of a different monster each time. Anyway, he’s the star of this film (along with Michael Rennie) so it seemed churlish to leave him out.

    I’m smokin’!

Almost looks like his beard is attacking him. Maybe it’s a beard of bees.

The Surgeon General has determined that smoking werewolf is hazardous to your health.

“I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!…well, okay, sometimes, yeah…”

  • The Surgeon General. HA! They ought to be saying ALL werewolves are hazardous to your health. Gonna get people killed not doing that.

  • Gamera977

    Well, a smoking werewolf is 0.037% more dangerous than a non-smoking werewolf…

  • Only to itself. I mean, there’s a clear, visible trail of smoke with the smoking werewolf, as well as the occasional hacking cough. Meanwhile the non-smoking werewolf blends into the shadows and is as silent as a ninja.

Of course, the one to really look out for is the second hand smoking werewolf. No telling how many lives lost there.

  • Gamera977

Actually I’d figure with his ability to regenerate damaged tissue the werewolf wouldn’t have any lung damage, the added danger is yes from the second hand smoke. That is assuming you have enough time to get lung cancer before the werewolf disembowels you…

He must have sit too close to the grill at Lee Ho Fook’s.

Getting back to mocking the film, is the smoke we are all having fun with supposed to be fog? If so it would help to have the werewolf in focus and the “fog” out of focus.

  • bgbear_rnh

Wow, something smells like burnt dog hair in here Lee. YOOOOW!

  • If he’s smoking, shouldn’t someone put him out before he actually catches fire?

  • Flangepart

The thing about the wolfman is…just before he kills you…he sniffs your butt.” James lileks- The Diner podcast.

I understand the Oscars are running tonight. If anyone cared enough to watch, just how badly did they behave?
